Curve Lake First Nation – Multiple Theft and Drug Charges Laid after Break and Enter

Three Curve Lake First Nation residents are facing charges following an investigation into a break and enter.
On September 29, 2025, the Anishinabek Police Service received a report of a break and enter into a property that was under construction. Investigation revealed that three suspects had forced entry into the property in the early hours on that date and removed thousands of dollars of items, including tools, furniture and appliances.
A 37-year-old female from Curve Lake First Nation was arrested and is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Theft Under $5000
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
A 35-year-old male from Curve Lake First Nation was arrested and is charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
A 37-year-old male from Curve Lake First Nation was arrested and is charged with:
- Break and Enter – with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Theft Under $5000
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
All three were released on an Undertaking.
Thousands of dollars in stolen goods have since been recovered as part of this investigation. A number of stolen items are still outstanding and this investigation is ongoing.
